It’s no doubt that as far as history goes, our human race has craved for, and is driven by what
makes them happy. Every product, every app, everything on the internet, is advertised and
designed so that you or the designer can directly or indirectly feel happy. We see so many of
these so called ‘Gurus’ promising you true happiness by some programme or a course that
they sell. But no matter how much it promises you happiness, it never really fails to leave you
emptier than when you began. It just seems to create a void in your heart that keeps getting
bigger and bigger! It feels as if there is an empty piece in the puzzle of your heart which you
just cannot find. Even the main motivation for all the sins we see in this world can be traced
back to “what the sinner thinks would make himself happy”. Perhaps one can reason this in
his own mind and come to the same conclusion! Think about this for a second, what leads
one to get addicted to alcohol, drugs or any other recreational activities? Or what leads a thief
to steal a car or rob a house? It’s so dreadful when you think that one of the common reasons
why many child molesters, sexual predators and serial killers molested their victims is for their
own recreational purpose. Think about it! These people committed such horrifying crimes just
because it made them happy!? So if God has designed happiness to be such a powerful
driving force in human hearts, He must have certainly provided a way to attain true
happiness… right? Luckily for us, the answer is, ‘YES!’.
But before that, It would only make sense to understand what brings true happiness, only If
we knew what bought unhappiness in the first place. (Because, the cause of a diseases is
crucial for deciding the cure for the disease.) So, when God created the world with man in it,
everything was perfect. There was no unhappiness and he meant for mankind to live in
perfect happiness. He provided them with everything that they needed to keep themselves
happy… Fellowship with God, A good partner, Peace and harmony, good food and a good
place to live in! It was only when they were deceived by Satan and sinned, the world which
was perfect became cursed and the miseries of life creeped in. “Sin is the reason the world is
suffering and many of us are unhappy today”. Because, man is created to have fellowship with
God and sin on the other hand breaks our relationship with God.
The fact that we are not reconciled to God due to our sin, is the root cause of unhappiness.
So what is the solution to this problem? What is the way to attain true happiness?
While sin is the biggest enemy of happiness, Forgiveness is its greatest friend. Lord Jesus
provided the very solution to our problem. He decided to give the free gift of salvation to us
sinners. And through His salvation, we can finally be reconciled with God, breaking free of the
very reason that caused unhappiness in the hearts of Mankind. So how does one accept this
free gift of salvation that Lord Jesus is providing? How does one attain true joy and
happiness? One just has to ask forgiveness of sin, and put his/her ‘faith’ in what Jesus has
done for us on the cross of calvary, (Which is, dying on the cross on our behalf for the sins
that we committed, and rising from the dead the third day, entirely defeating sin.) and accept
him as his/her Lord and Saviour. The very moment you do that, He saves you from the slavery
of sin, he comes to dwell in your heart and changes the very nature of yours, He starts
transforming you into his very image, You begin to have fellowship with Him and the Joy that
comes into your life through this fellowship with Him, No power of this universe can snatch. If
you have read this far, i am begging you to not miss out on the best deal you can ever secure.
I invite you, the reader to put his/her faith in Lord Jesus, and experience the true joy and
happiness, that Christ has to offer.

Happiness is to know the Savior,
