A year has passed by, one year less to live on this earth. A hopeful year to look forward to, to have new experiences and adventures. To make the wrongs right, to turn the tables around, to conquer dreams and push us further to our limits, while exploring ourselves.
The hope that a new year brings to us is endless. What could go wrong?
The undefined future always seems to lurk before us, destroying hopes and replacing them with worries which often lead people to overthink.
But there is this one man who said to the world to cast all your burden onto Him because He cares.
Phillippians 4:6,7
“In nothing be anxious, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.”
And as this life becomes an unexpected voyage with its ups and downs, let us not lose sight of a possible future that assures hope.
Just like a sailor gains confidence from the distant light of a lighthouse in a troubled sea, we can look onto a new light of hope, the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who came to earth to give peace to the world.
With ever-changing circumstances and the dark cloud of reality looming overhead, remember Jesus is always there by your side.
